Our team provided surveying and engineering design services for the Austin E Knowlton School of Architecture (Knowlton Hall) project. The project scope included stormwater management, water and sewer relocation, topographic and ATLA survey, site grading and pavement.
The site is located at the corner of Woodruff Avenue and Tuttle Park Drive on the Ohio State University Campus and serves as a replacement for Ives Hall, one of the oldest buildings on Campus dating back to the late 1800’s.
The age of the existing building and the utilities at the site presented unique project challenges. The oldest record plans available were hand drawn from the 1920’S making locating and designing around existing utilities extremely difficult. Much of the design work was estimated and modifications were made in the field as needed.
