With the existing infrastructure deteriorating, Lac La Biche County engaged V3 for civil engineering design and construction phase services to replace the underground water and sanitary utilities along portions of Highway 858 and 101st Avenue. Two methods of trenchless installation were used to help reduce surface restoration costs as well as minimize construction impacts for nearby residents. Fusible PVC and horizontal directional drilling were used to install more than 680 meters of watermain while a cured-in-place liner was used to reline about 300 meters of sanitary sewer.
