Farrell Road Path
In Lockport, IL, a half-mile stretch of Farrell Road needed improvements to support pedestrians traveling to and from Lockport Township High School and the neighboring residential areas. Our team developed engineering plans for a new eight-foot-wide multi-use path, providing shared-use access for bicycles and foot traffic, making it easy to get to school. This included adding new ADA-compliant crossings at each driveway crossing, as well as at the signalized intersections of Division Street and 7th Street. During our initial study, we worked with the City of Lockport and the local school district to develop cost-saving options for underground utility relocations. Work concluded with our construction engineering services, creating a safe, convenient walkway for Lockport residents.
