USGA Golf House Pinehurst

Next door to the historic Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina, the United States Golf Association (USGA) has established a second headquarters, Golf House Pinehurst – a campus that provides visitor engagement while honoring the Village’s Olmsted-era character. In collaboration with Clearscapes Architecture and North Carolina State University, we provided planning and landscape architecture for the campus—housing an equipment testing facility, innovation hub, visitor center, museum, and USGA administrative offices. The campus opened in spring 2024 as a showcase during the U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2.
KEY CONTRIBUTIONS:
Planning
We developed a cohesive site plan that integrates the new facility—including the equipment testing center, innovation hub, visitor center, and museum—into the surrounding community and landscape, ensuring connectivity and harmony with the historic Village of Pinehurst.
Landscape Architecture
We designed outdoor spaces that reflect the Village’s heritage while promoting ecological health, including a restored Long Leaf Pine grove habitat, “The Glade” pollinator garden, and stormwater bio-retention basins.
Native Planting & Sustainability
We curated a planting palette of water-wise native grasses, perennials, shrubs, and trees indigenous to North Carolina, supporting biodiversity and stormwater management.
