Water Supply Rehabilitation & Aquifer Characterization
We worked with Port-au-Prince to rehabilitate 19 wells and install monitoring wells to support an aquifer monitoring program. This work included testing of the well, removal and inspection of the well pump, down-hole camera inspection, and well geophysics using a multi-frequency, full waveform sonic detector and a micromulinet flow meter. The wells and pumps have been rehabilitated and full well tests have been performed using step-drawdown and constant rate testing protocols. This project is an important component of the improvement program for Port-au-Prince’s water supply and the enhancement of the water utility for the residents throughout the metro region.
