Although it might have been quite a few years ago, my internship provided me the ability to work on civil design projects, visit construction sites, and work on a survey crew. The ability to see multiple aspects of consulting and feel like a true part of the team allowed me to hit the ground running upon graduation. That experience still informs my consulting work and informs my decisions to this day.

30 years at V3
I was an intern with V3 Companies from 1994 to 1996 on the survey crews in Illinois. It was a great experience to collect field data, draft the topographic maps (literally draft on mylar with ink pens!) and perform construction stake out of design information. I interned for two summers and two winter breaks, and learned to be a field surveyor. The people at V3 were great and I decided to join V3 full time after graduation to provide survey and design engineering during the first years of my career.
