CaroMont Emergency Department

CaroMont Regional Medical Center provides a wide range of patient care specialties, with emergency care being a vital focus. In order to enhance accessibility and address needs with the Gastonia, NC area, a 38,000-square-foot expansion and existing Emergency Department renovation was put into motion. This expansion included the relocation of the existing helipad which created a new ambulance bay and associated parking. Due to full basement excavation, existing utilities were relocated as part of the project which consisted of the fire line, sanitary sewer main, and a storm drainage system. The existing parking lot was reconfigured to allow for the newly relocated helipad and provides better traffic flow for patient drop-off and pick-up, creating an overall improved care experience.
