Fort Sheridan Public Access Improvements

The Fort Sheridan Forest Preserve is ideally located along the Lake Michigan shoreline, offering 250 acres of savanna, ravine, and lakefront recreation. However, public access was limited, so the Lake County Forest Preserve partnered with our team to help more people enjoy visiting this beautiful preserve. The expansive scope of work included many amenity additions, such as grass and asphalt trails, timber boardwalks, benches, bike racks, and four trail overlook locations. Accessibility was also improved via a 50-stall parking lot and entrance drive. Finally, this scenic destination was further enhanced through weed control and native seeding to let the natural beauty shine through for every visitor.
