INDOT Small Purchase Projects
Our team is providing design engineering services for various INDOT small purchase projects aimed at enhancing transportation infrastructure across the state. These include:
State Route 1 over Cedar Creek Bridge Rehabilitation (Fort Wayne District) – This project will extend the life of the bridge via milling of the existing deck (utilizing hydro-demolition), partial and full-depth deck patching, and the placement of a new two-inch-thick rigid deck overlay. Improvements also include approach slab removal and replacement, guardrail upgrades, and minor sub-structure repairs. Two-way traffic will be maintained on the bridge throughout construction to maintain traffic flow.
I-465 Northbound Ramp at Kentucky Avenue Small Structure Rehabilitation (Greenfield District) – This project involves the rehabilitation of an existing 48-inch diameter corrugated metal pipe which coveys large flow volumes and is currently exhibiting signs of deterioration. The proposed design solution includes the installation of a high-density polyethylene pipe lining to extend the life of the culvert.
State Route 38 Small Structure Replacement (Crawfordsville District) – This project involves abandoning and filling a deteriorated 30-inch diameter corrugated metal pipe and replacing it with a 24-inch diameter storm sewer utilizing trenchless installation methods. Two-way traffic will be maintained throughout the duration of construction to maintain traffic flow.
US 12 Southbound Ramp at Cline Avenue Small Structure Improvements (LaPorte District) – Our team was recently awarded this project which will involve either the rehabilitation or full replacement of a 35” x 24” corrugated metal pipe conveying significant flow volumes under the US 12 southbound ramp at Cline Avenue.
