Briggs Ranch

Briggs Ranch is nestled in the rolling Hill Country west of San Antonio, Texas, and features an 18-hole course designed by Tom Fazio. We enhanced the lodging and amenities to elevate the member experience by introducing nine new casitas that reflect the character of Texas Hill Country. We provided planning and landscape architectural services to craft a golfing experience that harmonizes Southwest and Spanish influences with contemporary design, seamlessly integrated into the existing course.

KEY CONTRIBUTIONS:

Comprehensive Casita Planning & Design
We planned and designed nine new casitas to enhance the resort’s lodging options:

  • Four casitas overlooking the second hole with sweeping Hill Country views.
  • Four casitas arranged around a Southwest-inspired courtyard designed for large outdoor gatherings.
  • One enhanced Ranch House casita tucked among Texas live oaks, featuring a private outdoor dining terrace, fire pit, native plantings, and views toward the first green.

Landscape Architecture
We incorporated native plantings and outdoor living spaces that reflect the region’s natural beauty while creating inviting environments for relaxation and social connection.

Collaborative Design Approach
We worked closely with project architects to integrate Southwest and Spanish architectural influences, blending traditional and contemporary styles inspired by nearby San Antonio.
