GrayBull Club was envisioned as a destination that celebrates the raw beauty of Nebraska’s Sandhills while delivering a world-class golf experience. As Dormie Network’s first newly built facility, the project introduces an 18-hole course designed by David McLay Kidd, paired with lodging and amenities that immerse guests in the rugged landscape. We developed a comprehensive master plan and detailed design to create a curated experience that blends modern comfort with the authenticity of its natural setting.

KEY CONTRIBUTIONS:

Master Planning
We crafted an overall master plan for the 1,600-acre property, integrating the golf course with supporting amenities to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Site Design
We designed a half-mile entrance road, a clubhouse, and a “Party Barn” positioned to capture panoramic views of the surrounding dunes and course.

Lodging
We planned thirteen executive cottages and two owner’s cottages, thoughtfully perched atop an elevated ridge overlooking the course. Each was sited to restore the natural dune-scape and native grasses right up to the building edge, creating a sense of harmony with the land.

Collaborative Approach
We worked closely with the client to position every element for maximum visual impact and environmental sensitivity, ensuring GrayBull reflects the rugged beauty and spirit of the Sandhills.
