Summit Grove
Our team provided site civil design services for this new residential development with 149 single-family lots on 62 acres. Because the existing property had several acres of wetlands, we created a complex stormwater management system to integrate detention within the wetland areas, along with traditional stormwater management ponds which reduced wetland impacts. We also designed infiltration basins to capture stormwater runoff prior to entering the wetland areas, resulting in significant water quality benefits. Our extensive coordination with Village staff facilitated necessary zoning changes to allow for smaller lots, creating as many opportunities as possible for families to access new-construction options in the highly desirable Schaumburg area.
