Pinehurst Resort set out to create its most exclusive and luxurious lodging experience to date—an immersive stay directly on the storied No. 8 golf course, a Tom Fazio 18-hole core golf design built to commemorate the centennial of the Resort’s founding. Designed to offer sweeping views of lush vegetation, greens, fairways, and lakes, the vision was to give guests a private retreat where they could relax on their porch and watch the game unfold. We served as the design and planning lead, as well as construction administrator, to bring this world-class concept to life.

KEY CONTRIBUTIONS:

Master Planning & Design Leadership
Our team led the planning and design process for nine cottages offering 54 bedrooms across multiple four- and eight-bedroom floor plans. Each cottage was thoughtfully positioned to maximize views and designed with distinctive architectural styles evoking the charm of a New England village.

Exclusive Guest Amenities
We integrated premium amenities to create a seamless golf experience, including pavilion terraces, private fire pits, and an illuminated putting green that connects guests from the cottages to the tee and back again.

Collaboration & Construction Administration
We worked closely with project partners—including LKC Engineering, 3North Architects, and Red/Brand Construction—to ensure design intent was maintained throughout construction and delivered to the highest standard.
