US Route 30 Reconstruction
This $90-million project for the Illinois Department of Transportation included the reconstruction and widening of 8.5 miles of US Route 30 from a two-lane rural cross section to a five-lane urban facility. The extensive scope of work included the widening and reconstruction of the bridge over Hickory Creek as well as the installation of nearly 1,300 feet of 12-inch watermain and multiple new hydrants. Our team was also involved in extensive earthwork, complicated traffic and construction staging, relocation work by multiple utilities, new storm sewer systems, watermain installation, PCC pavement, bridge construction, retaining walls, noise abatement walls, traffic signals, and roadway lighting.
