V3 Companies wins first place as Illinois Healthiest Employers for 2020

October 15, 2020

V3 Companies has been named the Illinois Healthiest Employer of 2020 among firms with 100-499 employees, as part of Crain’s Chicago Business and Cigna’s annual Best Workplace Wellness Programs. This award recognizes companies that make workplace wellness a priority. V3 was also selected as an honoree for a similar award in the State of Indiana.

V3’s commitment to wellness culminated in the creation of ReVitalize, an employee-led comprehensive health and wellness program that supports and rewards employees’ efforts to lead a healthy lifestyle. It all starts with biometric screenings which help the committee guide the program for the year. Employees and spouses participate in custom, unique challenges to encourage families to get fit, move, engage in some healthy competition and win some fun raffle prizes along the way. New competitions are created each year to keep the program fresh and there’s also a mobile app to ensure field staff and employees’ spouses stay informed and can track their progress in real time.

“We are thrilled that V3 has been selected as the top Illinois Healthiest Employer by Crain’s and Cigna and as an honoree in the State of Indiana,” said Executive Vice President of Operations, Tomas Valaitis. “These awards reaffirm one of our fundamental core values: dedication to our employees. V3’s Revitalize Wellness Program provides our employees and their families with opportunities to lead healthy and happy lives and our success as a firm is all about the success of our employees, both in their careers and in their personal lives.”

Some of last year’s events included V3’s own official, timed 5k run/walk, a kickball tournament and e-bike tour. Challenges expanded outside the physical to include mental health (The Happiness Challenge – a checklist of activities to help stress through the holidays; Clear Your Clutter – clean up and donate to outside the box places) and Personal Safety (Active Shooter demo, self-defense, etc.). The committee quickly kicked in gear when the pandemic hit and created a weekly BE WELL newsletter and family Facebook page to stay connected.
