We are thrilled to announce that Ted Feenstra, P.E., has officially stepped into the role of Chief Operating Officer. This promotion welcomes Ted to our Executive Leadership Team, where he will guide our daily operations with his proven leadership, ensuring the continued growth and strength of our firm culture and strategic goals.
Ted joined our team in 1998 as a Design Engineer. While he’s held the title of Illinois Land Development Leader for the past 18 years, his contributions extend across the firm. He previously served two terms on our board of directors and participated in the Governance, Risk, and Board Nominating committees. Most recently, he acted as the interim Ohio Regional Leader and continues to be instrumental in our firmwide growth.
Ted follows the tenure of Tom Valaitis, P.E., who has been with V3 for 22 years. Tom has played a pivotal role in guiding our firm’s rapid growth and will remain with us through the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition.
Outside of work, Ted loves spending time with his wife and daughter. Summer weekends are at his lakeside cottage in west Michigan, where he was born and raised. He enjoys fishing, is a below average golfer, has a wry sense of humor, and lives his priorities in the order of faith, family, friends, and V3 (with plenty of overlap in the last two categories).
