Shakeel Baig, P.E, MBA, PhD, has joined V3 Companies to help the firm expand V3’s transportation services to the Indiana market.
Shakeel has 25 years of experience in the planning, design and construction of transportation and infrastructure improvements, including expressways, arterials, local roads, grade separations, bicycle/pedestrian facilities, and utilities. Prior to joining V3, Shakeel spent 18 years as a Civil Engineer at Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) where he retired as its Director of Construction and Capital Program Management. Following his career at INDOT, Shakeel worked in the private sector delivering transportation projects to federal, state, and local agencies throughout Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan.
Some of his notable accomplishments included delivering $5 billion worth of contracts, developing financial planning policies and procedures, and saving $280 million by preserving 60 miles of Interstate I-70 using out-of-box thinking in the areas of planning and engineering.
