Welcoming Our 2026 V3 Shareholders

July 15, 2026

“We are thrilled to welcome 17 new V3 shareholders! Employee ownership is key driver of our intention to create fulfilling careers, both professionally and financially for our team.  This year’s class exhibits the commitment to our clients and each other that makes us who we are as a firm. Congratulations to this talented group!”

Pat Kennedy, P.E., CEO

Meet the V3 shareholder class of 2026

Trevor Calhoun, PLS, Senior Project Manager | 21 years of experience

Trevor quickly embraced his role as Survey Group Leader for the Carolinas Region and has made a significant impact on the region, focusing on mentoring and developing our team, collaborating across all service lines, and driving positive financial results across the region’s multiple office locations. Outside of work, he enjoys woodworking, mountain biking, and spending time with his college-age children (when he can get them to hang with their old man).

Aaron Geckle, Senior Project Manager | 28 years of experience

Aaron is a driving force within our Indiana Region Wetlands and Ecology Group, bringing deep expertise and a steady hand to some of the Power and Energy sector’s most complex projects. Based in Cincinnati, he helps guide site and route selection for new and rebuilt substations and electric transmission lines, supporting clients such as American Electric Power, Duke Energy, and numerous EPC partners that help bring critical infrastructure projects to life. His work not only shapes the landscape of our region but also helps power the communities that depend on it. His blend of professional dedication, leadership, and commitment to family reflects the qualities that make him such a valued member of the V3 team. Outside of work, he just likes being a dad of a 19-year-old daughter and a 16-year-old son and filling time with a lot of sports, a little goat herding, and a new puppy after years of “can we keep him/her” tyrant father denials as others adopted dozens of their foster dogs.

Bryan Graf, Foreman | 23 years of experience

Bryan has been critical to the success of V3 Construction Group. With a strong foundation in earthwork operations, equipment utilization, and crew leadership, he delivers practical, buildable solutions that drive efficiency, maintain schedule, and uphold the highest standards of safety and quality. Bryan lives in Bartlett with his wife, Grace, and both are proud parents to five children. Outside of work, Bryan enjoys hunting, camping, and playing sports with his kids.

Howard Hamilton, P.E., CFM, CPESC, Water Supply & Wastewater Group Leader | 39 years of experience

Howard joined V3 in January to advance our expertise and solutions in water-related services across the firm. Howard brings both deep industry expertise and a personal passion for water and wastewater solutions to his new role. He is a licensed Civil Engineer (PE) in six states, as well as a certified wastewater treatment plant operator in Illinois. He leads the growth of our water supply and wastewater team in Illinois through leveraging long-standing relationships in the industry. Howard lives in his childhood home in Joliet along with his wife, Kristen, and both are proud parents of three adult children. Outside of work, Howard enjoys family time and escaping to his family cabin in Moose Lake in Minnesota for fishing, boating, and hiking.

Michael McWhirter, Water Market Leader | 24 years of experience

Michael joined our firm in 2025 as the Water Market Leader and his energy, enthusiasm, and expertise have brought immediate impact to our Water initiative.  While his expertise in water and wastewater treatment and alternative delivery solutions is vast, it is his ability to engage with clients and build effective teams to deliver effective solutions that elevates our firm.  Michael lives in Washington D.C. with his wife and two children, and his favorite activity is whitewater kayaking. He’s been all around the world, kayaked probably hundreds of different rivers and spends some of every weekend on the Great Falls of the Potomac.

Edward Murray, PLS, Project Manager | 24 years of experience

Ed is recognized for his strong attention to detail and his consistent commitment to meeting client needs and expectations. He is a great team player and is known for his willingness to support others across the group. Additionally, Ed takes an active interest in mentoring team members, contributing to their development and the overall strength of the team. In his free time, he loves the outdoors and is a National Scout leader, setting examples of integrity, service, and displays a commitment to guiding others to grow in character and leadership. Outside of work he enjoys nature, gardening, and playing guitar.

Maureen Niedert, Lead Project Accounting Coordinator | 28 years of experience

Maureen produces high quality work with a focus on moving the needle in a positive manner to improve the PM’s experience. She’s also a fantastic leader for our accounting team. She builds strong relationships throughout the firm which embraces a very collaborative work approach. Her natural care approach in all she does aligns wonderfully with V3’s culture. She enjoys hanging with her family and friends as well as gardening, reading, and being active anyway she can.

Aaron Parsons, P.Eng., Project Manager | 18 years of experience

Since joining the team nearly a decade ago, Aaron has consistently set out to be a difference-maker. His relentless focus on creating value has had a lasting impact on our Alberta region. Outside of work, his 18-month-old daughter keeps him pretty busy, so if he’s not at a playground, swimming lessons, or enjoying one of the local parks, he likes spending time with the family, taking his French bulldog to the dog park, camping and fishing, golfing, or hitting the slopes with some good company.

Andrea Pini, Project Manager | 16 years of experience

Andrea has been a consistently strong and reliable performer throughout her career at V3. She began in 2009 as a Seasonal Field Technician and has steadily earned the trust and respect of both her colleagues and clients.  She is one of the most resilient individuals I know.  I’ve watched her manage 50+ hour workweeks while simultaneously pursuing her master’s degree. Andrea brings a deep and well-rounded expertise in ecological restoration, paired with exceptional financial expertise that makes her the perfect fit for tackling some of our most challenging projects.  She approaches her work with commitment, integrity, and pride and it is incredibly rewarding to see her dedication and hard work continue to pay off. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, playing in a jazz band, gardening (a mix of native and ornamental), reading fiction, and kayaking when she can squeeze it in.

Matt Poulter, P.E., Resident Engineer | 11 years of experience

After a few internships and joining V3’s CE group full time in 2016, Matt’s hard work and determination have quicky risen him through the ranks and he has become a much sought after Resident Engineer for V3.  As a result of his work ethic, V3 continues to realize the benefits of repeat work from high value clients.  Furthermore, not only is Matt the quintessential team player, but is one of the CE group’s best mentors.  Outside of work, he enjoys watching sports, getting outside as much as he can, and being a new dad to his 9-month-old baby girl.

Andrew Regnery, P.E., Project Manager | 11 years of experience

Andrew Regnery has been instrumental in V3’s Denver office growth, providing technical leadership and continuity from a two-person operation through its current expansion. His deep expertise in floodplain management, stormwater engineering, and pipeline design has been foundational in establishing the office’s local drainage capabilities and regional credibility and complemented by a distinctive passion for golf course civil design that has added a unique dimension to V3 project portfolio. Andrew also serves as a critical bridge between the Denver team and V3’s broader national practice, ensuring consistent quality, standardized processes, and unified technical standards as the office scales. Outside of work, Andrew and his wife Cayla recently welcomed their first child, and enjoys skiing, hiking, camping, playing golf, running, or hunting with their dog Goose.

Ken Severson, Survey Crew Chief | 11 years of experience

Ken is highly driven to satisfy clients while maintaining focus on project budgets.  He consistently demonstrates a strong commitment to technical excellence and works collaboratively as a true team player, always willing to support others. Ken also stands out as a great mentor, actively developing and guiding subordinates across the group. In his spare time, he likes to relax with or help out family and friends.

Daniel Soder, P.E., Project Engineer | 10 years of experience

Dan provides consistent leadership and has helped cultivate a culture of learning that enables others to perform at their best. His proactive mindset fosters collaboration and strengthens the entire team. Through his patience and willingness to share knowledge, he has played a key role in developing our engineering team’s skills and capabilities. Outside of work, Dan enjoys riding motorcycles, working on cars, and spending time outdoors. When he’s not out pretending he’s in Fast & Furious, he usually hangs out with his wife and friends, which can range from relaxing to finding their next excuse to not act their age.

Elisa Stamatakis, RPP, MCIP, IAP2, Alberta Planning Leader | 8 years of experience

Elisa has been a catalyst for cross-region collaboration, consistently finding ways to bring value to teams across V3. She complements this with strong leadership of our growing team, drawing on a unique blend of advanced education and high-level competitive sport. Outside of work, she loves sports – especially cheering on the Oilers! She’s also been caught up in the excitement of the FIFA World Cup. When not watching a game, you’ll usually find her in the garden or picking away at home renos.

Ben Stammis, P.E., Senior Project Engineer | 27 years of experience

Ben is a Calvin College alum who began his V3 career in land development and has since been an integral part of TP&D for more than 15 years. He currently leads our permit review program with the Chicago Department of Buildings, which continues to grow under his guidance. Ben’s strong performance and trusted expertise were further recognized through his invitation to serve on the Mayor’s “Cut the Tape” task force as a subject matter expert on streamlining the permitting process. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and singing in his church choir.

Carolyn Villa, Project Manager | 11 years of experience

Carolyn has been making waves here at V3 since the day she started as a Seasonal Field Technician in 2015.  Her passion for nature, people and V3 are not lost on anyone she meets.  She is a trusted advisor not only for clients but also for our staff and is a cultural cornerstone in regards to how we work together as a team.  She never backs down from a challenge, stands her ground for what she believes in and is a champion of getting work done right the first time.  We are proud that a person of Carolyn’s caliber chose to fulfill her potential here at V3 and that she’s being recognized for an exceptional level of dedication and enthusiasm for doing excellent work. At home, she loves spending the evenings tending to her pocket prairie in her yard and teaching her son about all the bugs and birds they see on the native plants.

Mark Wynker, P.Eng., LEED AP, Alberta Land Development Leader  | 30 years of experience

Mark has rapidly moved into a leadership role in the Alberta region, making a strong impact through his collaborative approach and his instinctive ability to develop others through teaching and mentorship. Outside of work, his time is split depending on the seasons, with summer spent working on projects at the cabin that we built ourselves during COVID, and winter spent skiing with my family in the mountains of Alberta and British Columbia. Him and his wife are part-time empty nesters, so it’s mostly just the two of them (along with their aging Bernese Mountain Dog who spends most of her time sleeping).
