Mecklenburg County District Attorney Building
The Mecklenburg District Attorney Building along 4th Street aimed to make its front plaza a more inviting space for visitors. Located across from the Sheriff’s building, the plaza is one of the first things people see, but the large turf and concrete space was not appealing. Our team stepped in with landscape architecture and civil engineering services to reimagine the area. Renovations focused on an existing green roof plaza, with a design accommodating new seating areas, ornamental trees in raised planters, plaza pavers, and a colorful mix of sedums, grasses, shrubs, and perennials. Now the area presents an aesthetically engaging experience for county residents.
