Tourism Water Supply Investigation
We conducted a comprehensive water supply investigation for a proposed eco-tourism development zone consisting of 5,400 hectare of mountains and coastal plain and 11 kilometers of beaches on the southwestern coast of Haiti. The study investigated groundwater and surface water sources to provide a sustainable water supply for the multi-sector development of resort, commercial, residential, airport, and Eco-Agro development. As part of the investigation, we conducted a comprehensive water point survey using precision GPS, mapped the hydrogeology of a 340-square-kilometer area, and conducted water quality sampling. An integrated water resource management plan was developed to provide guidance for further water resource development and protection.
